Pattern Drafting Simulator
Enter your measurements and draft a bodice, skirt or sleeve block, with the seam allowances and the fabric estimate drawn on.
Educational simulation
Results are computed from idealised geometry. Real fabric, thread and machines have tolerances and wear, so treat the figures as a guide and always follow the specification on the part.
Loading the 3D model
This tool needs WebGL
This device reports no WebGL support, so the interactive model cannot run. The reference figures below are the same ones the model computes.
| Figure | Value |
|---|---|
| Bodice width | 23.0 cm |
| Waist dart | 4.5 cm |
| Hip depth | 20.0 cm |
| Armhole depth | 20.7 cm |
| Seam allowance | 1.5 cm |
| Fabric estimate | 1.45 m |

Procedure
- Enter the body measurements
- Choose a block to draft
- Set the garment length
- Read the seam allowances
- Check the fabric estimate
Export
5 steps. Exports are generated in your browser from the current model.
Pattern Drafting Simulator
Turn a set of body measurements into a basic block. Adjust the bust, waist, hip and length and watch the pattern redraw with its seam allowances.
What it models
- Enter the body measurements
- Choose a block to draft
- Set the garment length
- Read the seam allowances
- Check the fabric estimate
What you can export
- The drafted block as PNG
- The measurements as CSV
Exports are produced in the browser from the current model state. Nothing is uploaded.
Degradation
Without WebGL this page shows a static reference panel carrying the same figures and the same procedure. On a narrow screen the 3D model is offered rather than loaded automatically, so a phone on a slow connection is not forced to download it.
Other 3D tools
Stitch Simulator
Drag to rotate the cloth, set the stitch length and tension, and see the seam build up — including what happens when the tension is wrong.
Tension Troubleshooter
Set the upper and bobbin tension, or pick a fault preset, and see the stitch from both sides of the cloth with a diagnosis.
Fabric Drape Simulator
Choose a fibre and a weight and watch the cloth fall, then compare two fabrics to see which drapes and which stands up.
